The death has occurred of William (Bill) Dunne – “Sancta Maria”, Dublin Road, Mullingar, Co Westmeath – August 11, 2026 (peacefully) in his 94th year, in the company of his loving family and in the tender care of the staff at the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar.

Dearly beloved husband of the late Lily; Bill will be very sadly missed and forever lovingly remembered by his children Trevor, Irene and Adrian, his adored grandchildren, Sarah, Conor, Olivia, Rebecca, Gary, David, Andrew, Niall and Stephanie, daughters-in-law Daire and Geraldine, and son-in-law Sean. Also fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, kind neighbours, his wide circle of friends and his dear friend Eoin.

Remembering also all the deceased members of the Dunne and Kiernan families and Bill’s dear partner Pauline.

Reposing at Gilsenan’s Funeral Home (N91 K660) on Wednesday August 12, 2026 from 4 pm to 6 pm and followed by Removal to the Cathedral of Christ the King arriving at 6.30 pm.

Bill’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday August 13, 2026 at 11 am and may be viewed on the live webcam at http://www.mullingarparish.ie. Burial afterwards in Ballyglass Cemetery.
