The death has occurred of Gerard Murphy – Donore, Multyfarnham, Co Westmeath – July 30th, 2026.

Gerard died peacefully surrounded by his loving family while in the kind care of the staff at the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar and previously in the excellent care of the staff at Sancta Maria Nursing Home, Kinnegad.

Predeceased by his parents John and Sarah and his brother Michael.

Gerard will be dearly missed and remembered lovingly by his brothers Jim and Walter, sisters Ena, Ursula and Bernie, sisters-in-law Deirdre and Joan, brothers-in-law Christy and John, his dear nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

MAY GERARD’S GENTLE SOUL REST IN PEACE

Reposing at Gilsenan’s Funeral Home Mullingar (N91 K660) on Sunday 2nd August from 4.30 pm concluding with prayers at 6.30 pm.  Gerard’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday 3rd August at 11 am in St Nicholas’ Church, Multyfarnham, followed by burial in St Peter’s The Rock Cemetery.
