The death has occurred of Michael (Mick) Fitzgerald – Lynn Heights, Mullingar, Co Westmeath, late of London and formerly of Castlecove, Co Kerry.

Our beloved Michael died peacefully on June 10, 2026 with his devoted wife and family by his side and in the kind and excellent care of the staff at Cluain Lir Care Centre, Mullingar.

A dearly loved husband, adored father and treasured grandfather, Michael will be very sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Abbie, daughter Noreen, son Michael, grandchildren Alice, Max, Daniel and Roisín, sister Mary (London), son-in-law Johnny, daughter-in-law Sarah, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, kind neighbours and his many good friends.

MAY MICHAEL REST IN PEACE

Reposing at Gilsenan’s Funeral Home Mullingar (N91 K660) on Friday 12 June from 4.30 to 6 pm followed by Removal to the Cathedral of Christ the King arriving at 6.30 pm.

Michael’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 13 June at 11 am and may be viewed on the live webcam at the link http://www.mullingarparish.ie. Burial afterwards in Ballyglass Cemetery.
