The death has occurred of Attracta Purcell (Née Gouldsbury) New Ballinderry, Mullingar and formerly of Rochfortbridge, Co Westmeath – May 8th 2026 (peacefully) in the company of her devoted family and in the tender care of the staff at the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar.

Dearly beloved wife of the late Eamon and sister of the late Kathleen and Nora.

Much loved mother of Ita, Michael, Fran, Tony and Olivia and adored nanny of Gemma, Alanna and Sarah; Aishling, Michael, Luke, Alesha and Brandon; Ava and Lauren; Emily, John, Cara and Eamon.  Attracta will be forever loved, remembered and missed by her family, her sisters Bea, Patricia and Mary-Jane, her brother Harry, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, and her good friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Gilsenan’s Funeral Home (N91 K660) on Monday May 11th from 3.30 pm to 6 pm followed by Removal to the Cathedral of Christ the King arriving at 6 30 pm.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday May 12th at 11 am followed by burial in the Sacred Heart Cemetery Marlinstown, Mullingar.
