The death has occurred of Frances Burke (Née McGovern) – Downes Lane, Bishopsgate Street, Mullingar and formerly of Bunbrosna and Multyfarnham, Co Westmeath – January 16, 2026 (peacefully) at her home with her family by her side following an illness bravely borne.

Loving mother of Colin, Lisa, Linda and Ian; Frances will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family, her treasured grandchildren, sisters Julie, Pauline and Bernadette, daughter-in-law and partners, nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family, wonderful carers and many friends.

Reposing at Gilsenan’s Funeral Home (N91 K660) on Monday January 19th from 4 pm concluding with prayers at 6 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday January 20th at 11 am at the Church of St Michael the Archangel, Sonna (N91 V302) followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
