The death has occurred of Detty Cornally (née Riggs) – Woodlands Avenue, Mullingar – July 26, 2025 (unexpectedly but peacefully) with her loving and devoted family by her side at the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar.

Beloved wife of the late Rob. Dearly loved mother of Mary, David, Robert, Louise, William, Owen and Alan, adored grandmother of Rebecca and Anna, Rachel and Nathan, Róisín and Stephen, Aoife and Orla, Andrea, Isabelle, Cian and Lochlainn, and dear sister of Ita.  Detty will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, daughters-in-law Geraldine, Mary, Caroline and Bridget, son-in-law Paul, Owen’s partner Tony, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, as well as her cousins, extended family, neighbours and her wide circle of friends.
Remembering also all the deceased members of the Riggs and Cornally families.

MAY DETTY’S GENTLE SOUL REST IN PEACE

Reposing at Gilsenan’s Funeral Home (N91 K660) on Monday July 28th from 3 pm with prayers at 6 pm. Removal to the Cathedral of Christ the King arriving at 6.30 pm.
Detty’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday July 29th at 12 noon followed by Cremation at Lakelands Crematorium Cavan at 3.30 pm. The Mass may be viewed on the live webcam at http://www.mullingarparish.ie.  Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired in memory of Detty to North Westmeath Hospice here.
