Catherine Ennis (Née Wheeler) Ashefield, Mullingar, Co Westmeath
died peacefully at her home on 1st June 2026 in the tender loving care
of her family following a long illness fought with great courage and dignity.

Predeceased by her beloved parents John and Phyllis.

Dearly loved wife of Martin (Murt), adored mother of Aoife, Johnny and Laoise, stepmum of Laura Marie, and cherished Nanny to Martin and Ronan.

Catherine will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted family, her sisters Wendy, Margaret and Emma, brother Richard, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives, her many friends and dedicated carers.

Remembering also all the deceased members of the Ennis and Wheeler families.

Reposing at Gilsenan’s Funeral Home on Thursday from 4.30 pm with Removal to the Cathedral of Christ the King arriving at 6.30 pm.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11 am. The Mass may be viewed on the live webcam at http://www.mullingarparish.ie.   Burial afterwards in Kilronan Cemetery.
