Bridie Wheeler (Née Lyons) – Woodlands, Mullingar and formerly of Castlepollard, Co Westmeath died peacefully on May 31, 2026 in the company of her loving family, while in the kind care of the ICU staff at the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar.

Beloved wife and best friend of the late Gerry, loving mother of Alison and Eddie and adored nana of Maeve and Róisín.

Bridie will be very sadly missed and forever remembered by her devoted family, son-in-law Frank (O’Donnell), sisters May and Geraldine, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, kind neighbours and good friends.

Remembering all the deceased members of the Wheeler and Lyons families.

MAY BRIDIE’S GENTLE SOUL REST IN PEACE

Reposing at Gilsenan’s Funeral Home (N91 K660) on Tuesday June 2nd from 4.30 pm followed by removal to the Cathedral of Christ the King arriving at 6.30 pm.  Bridie’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday June 3rd at 1 pm and may be viewed on the live webcam at http://www.mullingarparish.ie.  Burial will take place in Kilronan Cemetery.
