Carmel Hickey, late of Dominick Street, Mullingar and former Principal of Presentation School, Mullingar –  died peacefully on 21st December 2025 in the tender care of Portiuncla Nursing home, Multyfarnham.

Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Anne, her brothers George, Sean and Paddy, her sisters Treasa, Sr. Genevieve, Alice, Sr. Eucharia, Allocoque, and Áine.

Carmel will be deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by her family, brothers Peadar and Matt, sister-in-law Annette, many nieces, nephews and her friends.

Reposing at Gilsenans Funeral Home, College Street, Mullingar N91 K660 on Tuesday, December 23rd from 12.30pm followed by removal to the Cathedral of Christ the King, Mullingar for Funeral Mass at 2pm.
Burial will take place in Walshestown Cemetery.
