The death has occurred of John Clarke, ‘Garbally’, 1 Hillside Drive, Mullingar (formerly of Ballinasloe, Co Galway), 17 August 2025, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and under the excellent care of the staff at St Camillus Nursing Centre, Killucan.

Beloved husband of the late Phyllis (née Kenny) and adored grandad of the late Holly (Quinn).

John will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughter Annette, his son Sean, his sister Madeline (Parker), son-in-law Martin (Quinn), daughter-in-law Sharon (Longe), his cherished grandchildren Alex, Sam, Noah, Max, Lynne and Faye, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, and his exceptional neighbours and friends.  Also remembering his deceased parents Dan and Minnie, his deceased sister Marie Theresa and his deceased brothers Thomas and Martin.

Heartfelt thanks to the staff at St. Camillus Nursing Centre, Killucan for their remarkable care of John during this difficult time.

MAY HE REST IN PEACE

Reposing will take place at his residence at 1 Hillside Drive (N91 X2C9) on Tuesday 19 August from 5 pm to 7 pm.   Removal from his residence on Wednesday 20 August at 10.30 am arriving at the Cathedral of Christ the King (N91 EF82) for Funeral Mass at 11 am. The Mass may be viewed on the live webcam at http://www.mullingarparish.ie.   Burial afterwards to Ballyglass Cemetery, Mullingar.   Family flowers only please, donations if desired to the Irish Cancer Society.
