The death has occurred of Jack Taaffe, Auteven, Rathcolman, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath and formerly Athy, Co. Kildare ~ 14th May 2023 ~ peacefully, in his 90th year, at his home and in the company of his loving family.

Jack will be very sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Frances, children Jon, Karen, Conor, Leslie, Paul and Josef, sons-in-law Vincent and Martin, daughters-in-law Áine and Rita, much adored grandchildren John Anthony, Lesley-Ann, Kira, Vinóg, Jill, Ian, Maiya, and Anisha, brothers George, Tony and Francis, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family and many friends and former colleagues in Local Government.

Reposing at his home in Rathcolman, Mullingar, eircode N91 D7W2, on Tuesday from 4pm to 7pm.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 2pm on Wednesday in the Cathedral of Christ the King, Mullingar followed by burial in Walshestown Cemetery, Mullingar.
